We invite you to be part of the inaugural Race Across the Globe!
This is an opportunity for the entire Brentwood School community to come together and make a lasting difference. This is inspired by the School’s amazing mass participation House events, then adds the spirit of triathlon, and invites everyone across the Association to participate.
There will be House points, group leaderboards, and individual challenges, but this event is primarily a challenge to collectively build miles that will take us across the globe.
Race Across the Globe is about more than just the distances covered or goals achieved. It's a fundraising effort for the Brentwood School Foundation, dedicated to life-changing opportunities for deserving children. Every kilometre swum, cycled or run will contribute to raising vital funds for the Brentwood School bursary programme. These bursaries open the door for talented children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to maximise their potential.
Friday 13th June - All day (6am to 8pm)
It's your race. Commit to anything from a 1km run to a full triathlon.
See details below, sign up and get involved.

Theo Harris
Alumni Relations Officer (OB 2009-2020)
"I'm taking on the challenge of cycling 20km, because as an Old Brentwood who is now back on the staff side, I see firsthand the transformative impact a Brentwood education can have. Race Across the Globe is a unique opportunity for us to come together as a community and ensure that deserving children have access to these life-changing opportunities."

Leah Chapman
Lead Head of House
"With fitness, the House System and the Foundation being three things which are extremely close to my heart, I am delighted to be so involved in the organising and running of this incredible event. I will be found walking, running or somewhere between the two all day long in support of our pupils and their families. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing how this inaugural event unfolds."

Hieu L
Brentwood Bursary Student (U6th)
“I'm committing to running 10km because of how much I have benefitted from receiving a bursary at Brentwood. Studying in classrooms with high aspiring students has really motivated me to always want to achieve higher than what I expect of myself, and the school's Old Brentwoods have supported and given me advice for post-18 education. Not only that, but the school's exceptional sporting facilities have also given me the tools I need to develop and succeed as an athlete.”

This is an opportunity for students, staff, parents, Old Brentwoods, and anyone in our community to get involved. This type of event is what Brentwood School does best, and together we will want to raise vital funds and awareness for Brentwood School bursaries. These bursaries not only remove financial barriers for talented young children to thrive, but they enrich the whole School as a competitive and diverse meritocracy. We are asking people to participate, support and sponsor, so that every kilometre swum, cycled, or run contributes to our ambitious goal. A global journey that will support our mission to create life-changing opportunities.
We are aiming to raise £25,000 to fund our first bursary, but our ambition doesn’t stop there – we hope to fund multiple bursaries on the day. Whether you’re sponsoring an individual for their Challenge or supporting your House’s collective effort, every contribution brings us closer to changing lives and providing deserving children with access to a Brentwood education.
So far we've raised £95.00
"There are lots of things that make Brentwood such a special community. One of them is our bursary programme, which gives ambitious and talented young people access to a transformative education that simply would not be possible without financial support. The statistics are impressive - well over 100 children benefit from means-tested bursaries at Brentwood - but the real impact can be seen through the stories of our award holders, who shine brightly in our school and go on to achieve great things. Above all, however, we know they will pay back the support they received at Brentwood in all manner of ways and places. Our students learn the importance of doing good in the world, not just well in their exams, and our bursary award holders lead the way. That's the real gift of the Brentwood School Foundation. Thank you for supporting us, however big or small your contribution may be. It's very much appreciated."
