On the evening of Friday 30th June, the 2023 Promenade concert took place, and it was as electrifying as ever.
As always, there was a spotlight on the Upper Sixth students - soon to be Old Brentwoods - who wrote witty and creative goodbyes for their teachers and support staff in the form of short rhymes. The Prom is always an endearing sight to witness for an OB, due to the traditional nature of the evening, many aspects take us back to our own school memories.
The evening kicked off with a brilliant rendition of the Avengers theme tune played by the Junior Band. The School Big Band performed exhilarating pieces such as Spain, followed spectacularly by the Barbershops, Choirs, and the Symphony Orchestra. The finale was a first for the Prom - a rap performance of I am the One by Upper Sixth Seun accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra. The evening truly had it all.
Of course, what is a Prom Concert without The School Song - made memorable thanks to the brave OBs who took up centre stage to perform. It was a truly delightful evening, and we look forward to welcoming our new OBs to the Association.
