Terrence Best, former Head of Languages who taught at Brentwood betwen 1956 and 1990, made a long awaited return to school to be reunited with his harpsichord, which he had previously donated to the school and which has just returned following a lengthy period of refurbishment.
Terrence, who still lives close to the school, played a few tunes himself before declaring "hello, old friend". Under the watchful eye of Director of Performing Arts and Music, Florian Cooper (OB 1995-2009), Terrence was then treated to three short perfomances by students - themselves just getting to grips with the 'new' instrument; it's very different from the piano they are accustomed to playing! - all of which Terrence was very impressed with.
