Congratulations to Carlton Evans (OB 1975-1984) on being awarded an MBE for services to global health in Her Majesty's New Year's Honours List.
Carlton is currently working in Peru and holds the following titles:
-Professor of Global Health leading the IFHAD: Innovation For Health And Development group in the Section of Adult Infectious Disease, Department of Infectious Disease at Imperial College London, UK;
-Honorary Consultant (Attending) Physician specialising in infectious disease and general medicine (special interests tuberculosis and global health with a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene) for patients at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, UK;
-Professor of Research in the Laboratory of Research and Development at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru.
-Head of Innovation For Health and Development at the Non-governmental organisation (NGO, charity) Asociacion Benefica PRISMA, Peru
-Associate faculty in the Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, USA.
