Keith Gray - Teacher of Biology, Head of Year 7

What a fantastic way to help a young person on the start of their own life's journey.

Why have you decided to take part in the challenge?

Growing up in Scotland I used to go into the hills quite a lot, but now living in Essex, I have missed that a little. I've visited Snowdonia a few times, both with my family and with Biology field trips and it is such a beautiful area. I want to support everyone else on their challenge, and also have the opportunity to climb Snowdon.

Can you give us some insight into your training regime?

As I will mostly be part of the support team, my training regime will include driving, cooking breakfasts, and of course taste testing them. I might even get my family to walk the Essex way with me over the summer.

Any message for potential supporters?

It's such a great idea to use the money raised to go towards the education of one individual. Having been a teacher at Brentwood School for over 17 years, I have seen the impact that transformational bursaries can have on students. What a fantastic way to help a young person on the start of their own life's journey.
