Paula Ruiz Arevalo - Teacher of Spanish

I believe every contribution matters, so if you can't donate much, how about spreading the word?

Why have you decided to take part in the challenge?

I thought this was a great opportunity, as it combined two things I am passionate about: volunteering for a good cause and hiking in beautiful scenery. Therefore, I'm thrilled to walk alongside great colleagues, get to know them better, and discover Snowdonia. I don't know if I should be a little scared of the challenge, but I believe that with a positive attitude, and keeping in mind that all our efforts will help a student make the most of their education and talents at Brentwood School, it will become an achievable challenge!

Can you give us some insight into your training regime?

As I am going back home to the hot South of Spain (Cádiz), I plan to take long walks along the beach and swim a lot. I will also continue my usual routine of evening running. I aim to stay active and get back to my running, setting myself the goal of completing 10k in an hour or less. I might even train by running some uphills!

Any message for potential supporters?

I believe every contribution matters, so if you can't donate much, how about spreading the word? We're all committed to going the extra mile to give a student at Brentwood School the chance to thrive and create a promising future in their chosen path and talent, benefiting the wider world.
