Alex Moxon - Teacher of Geography

A small donation can go a long way in transforming the life of a talented young person.

Why have you decided to take part in the challenge?

I love the outdoors, especially hiking and biking, so this challenge is something I really wanted to tackle. Unfortunately, I couldn't do it last year, so I decided to give it a try this year to make up for it. It's also rewarding to know that by supporting the bursary programme, we can help those who wouldn't normally have the chance to attend Brentwood School.

Can you give us some insight into your training regime?

I am a keen cyclist (both mountain and gravel) and currently ride about 5 hours a week. During the recent half-term break, I hiked munros in Scotland. This summer, I plan to undertake several backpacking and bikepacking adventures around the UK, which will hopefully prepare me for the hike and bike challenge.

Any message for potential supporters?

Education is one of the most powerful gifts a child can receive, making school bursaries a truly worthwhile cause. A small donation can go a long way in transforming the life of a talented young person. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.
