Bursary students really do have life-changing experiences by coming to Brentwood School

Why have you decided to take part in the challenge?

I decided to take part to have a physical challenge to work towards. I have become very unfit so I thought this may help to keep me healthy.  I enjoy walking and exploring the outdoors with an OS map and a nice flask of tea. Stumbling across hidden tea rooms with amazing cake is also a good motivator! Alongside this I thought it would be lovely to do this challenge with my colleagues and raise money for a student who may not otherwise be able to come to Brentwood.

Can you give us some insight into your training regime?

I am mostly working on a treadmill, gradually trying to increase the incline and length of time I am walking for. When the summer holidays come, I will combine this with some hikes outdoors.

Any message for potential supporters?

Anything you can donate will be amazing. The bursary students really do have life-changing experiences by coming to Brentwood School. One student that stands out for me is Elizabeth Akeju who achieved the maximum 45 points in her IB diploma and went on to study medicine at Imperial. Her experiences at Brentwood have set her up for an incredible future and it would be so lovely to do that for others.
