Why have you decided to take part in the challenge?

This is a great opportunity to raise funds for the school's bursary programme which holds a special place in my heart. As a former beneficiary of a bursary, I understand firsthand the immense impact it can have on a student's life. This challenge allows me to give back to the school community and help provide another pupil with the same transformative experience I had. Additionally, participating in this challenge is a personal test to see if I still have the endurance and determination I had when I completed similar challenges in the past. I am looking forward to the chance to engage in an activity that combines physical fitness, adventure and a meaningful cause.

Can you give us some insight into your training regime?

My training regime, though not as rigorous as I would like, incorporates as much hiking as I can fit into my free time. I take full advantage of the beautiful Essex countryside, which provides an excellent terrain for hiking (no biking, thank you!). Whenever possible, I integrate longer hikes into my weekends and I will take advantage of the summer evenings too! My passion for the cause will keep me motivated.
