First Foundation Funded Bursary

Thanks to the generosity of those OBs who have already supported the work of the Brentwood School Foundation, the Michaelmas term starting September 2020 sees an additional (to School funded) bursary place allocated to a specific and deserving student - the first, of many we hope, to be funded by the Foundation.

The Covid -19 crisis has hit everyone hard, but particularly poorer families. Aside any economic impact, the lockdown in particular has increased education inequality with the Department for Education warning of a widening of the attainment gap by up to 75%! More than ever, bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds need education to transform their lives.

The pandemic has already caused the cancellation of two planned fundraising events this year, so we need more OBs to help give a deserving young person the chance of a Brentwood School education.
