Among several old school publications donated to the archives by the widow of Trevor Foulkes (OB 1945-51, Head of School 1950-1) was the Coronation Issue of The Lawrence Magazine: An Upper 2 Production!
Inside the front cover a picture of the Queen has been carefully pasted, with a stern message from the Editor "This issue should, I think, be called our Coronation issue, and I know you will all wish to join with me in loyal greetings to our Queen. I hope the selection of the material you have given me is worthy of the occasion."
Doubtless, Her Majesty (who was sent a copy) would have very much enjoyed, amongst other offerings, the account of a trip to Versailles, and the instructions on how to plant a shrub.
Who remembers this magazine - and do you still have any copies? The School Archivist would be delighted to receive any, now unwanted, examples of school work/publications over time.
