Brief description of your path after Brentwood: 

I studied Medicine at UCL, I did various hospital jobs and then embarked upon general practice training. I moved back to the Brentwood area and worked in several local NHS general practice surgeries. I started doing some private general practice alongside my NHS work. I completed a postgraduate qualification in Advanced Menopause Care at Guys Hospital and then became recognised as a British Menopause Specialist. I have taken part in research and written several academic papers. I then moved into full time private General Practice and private specialist menopause care.

How has your career path led you to where you are now?

I was disillusioned with the way I was forced to work and that I was unable to effect change, so I set up my own Private General Practice and Menopause Clinic. This enables me to provide high quality medical care in the way that I want to. The business is successful and I have other doctors that work with me now. 

Did you develop any particular skills or attributes at Brentwood that have helped your career? 

Self belief that you can do anything you put your mind to.

Ignore conventional approaches and be open to success coming in ways you don't expect. Put in the hard work required to follow your dreams and seek out your own opportunities.
